Beginning of Performance

Artist designed and sewn originals, woolen wrapped garments hold pocket reliquaries containing messages for seven ancient churches. Designed to be a place of meditative interaction between art, artist and audience, felt strips are safety-pinned together by participants onto individual hangers. During my performance, I cut and pinned these felt pieces to form a collective garment, rooted and branching, harkening to the often-invisible connections that hold us fast to one another.
